Students from grades 6–12 (as of fall 2009) can choose from a variety of camps with Summers@Mizzou. Camps offer an intensive, hands-on and fun opportunity to explore a career and college major. From entrepreneurship to Spanish to geography, there's something for everyone!
Summer athletic camps
Want to perfect your game this summer by working with great coaches at Mizzou’s top-notch sporting facilities? Sign up for one of our many summer athletic camps. From basketball to football to swimming to soccer, Mizzou is the place for you this summer.
Mizzou Band Camp
Young musicians looking for a summer music program can sign up for the Mizzou Band Camp hosted by Mizzou’s University Bands department. This program offers junior and senior high school students a variety of courses in music, along with ensemble opportunities that are not found at any other summer music program in the region.
Mizzou Engineering Summer Program
The Mizzou Engineering High School Summer Camp exposes high school students (grades 10–12) to different engineering disciplines and involves hands-on learning, team design projects and competitions, and participation in small laboratory groups.
Geology Summer Field Camp
High school students can take part in field geology in the Wind River Mountains as part of the Geology Summer Field Camp. Students study geology at the Branson Field Laboratory in Lander, Wyo. Other highlights include field trips to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.
Undergraduate research
Interested in joining the undergraduate research community of scholars at MU this summer? Become involved in an undergraduate research project. By participating in undergraduate research, students explore the unknown through hands-on work with faculty members. Research projects take place throughout the MU campus — in scientific labs, at field sites, in the library, in art studios, and in campus museums and archives.
Science enrichment
The QUEST Academy for Kids is a week-long, half-day science enrichment program sponsored by the Department of Physics and Astronnomy and the College of Education. The academy takes place July 13-17 at Mizzou.
